2016年，应该是EMC最后独立运作的一年。今年推出了DSSD D5产品，创造出一个新的品类RSF(Rack-Scale Flash Storage)。同时，高端推出VMAX AF全闪存阵列，中端推出新的Unity架构，没有继承VNX的命名。
从EMC的37年历史，我们可以看到外部存储发展的一个缩影。大的路径就是高端到中端，低端，然后是虚拟化，软件定义和云&大数据。EMC官网上里程碑的事情很多，我只是节选了我认为比较重要的东西，分享给大家。
在软件定义的大潮下，外部存储已经过了鼎盛时期，就算有全闪存阵列也无济于事。但存储无处不在，内部存储也是存储，基本需要都是一样，即存得进去，取得出来，成本低，性能好。因此，我们学存储的，也没有啥可悲哀的，只是存储的形态发生变化，我们跟上就是了。
这篇文章我写了两个晚上，一直想放到一篇文章里未果。文章很长，大家可以利用微信的收藏功能，需要的时候再翻看。
虽然用致青春这个题目，其实我刚毕业主要做集成，虽然用了很多存储产品，但EMC用得不多，后来去原厂做网络，再转行做的存储。但不知为什么，第一时间还是想到致青春这首歌，就这个标题吧。
